Neurological Rehabilitation
Hopewell Physical Therapy treats ambulatory neurological patients who have sustained strokes, traumatic brain injuries, concussions, or who have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease.
Should a patient be discharged from an acute care or rehabilitation hospital, home based physical therapy is often the initial treatment. Following the home therapy, more intense outpatient therapy is often required to advance strength, active range of motion, balance and coordination, and high level trunk/extremity integration.
The first step at Hopewell Physical Therapy is to evaluate an individual’s needs and develop a program to address the neurological deficits. The goals of therapy are to improve mobility and independence, utilizing a more intensive therapeutic exercise routine, blending our manual approach with our state of the art fitness equipment.
