- General Orthopedic Physical Therapy:
Therapy for common musculoskeletal conditions such as, tendonitis, bursitis, and arthritis, post fracture immobilization, frozen shoulder, and tennis elbow. Other common patient types are pre and post joint replacement, neck and low back strains and sprains.
- Sports Medicine:
Therapy specific to sports rehabilitation from the collegiate to high school level. Therapy is usually at a faster pace and higher intensity depending upon the fitness level of the athlete.
- Spine Rehabilitation:
A through spine evaluation incorporating orthopedic and neurologic parameters for acute or chronic pain. Spine rehabilitation is a specialty of Hopewell Physical Therapy. Many different orthopedic/manual techniques are utilized during one on one sessions with a therapist, including myofascial release, strain/counter strain, joint manipulation and cranio-sacral to name a few.
Additionaly, spine stabilization/therapeutic exercise is incorporated into all patient programs. Spine stabilization teaches a patient how to maintain the spine in an anatomicaly neutral position to protect the spine from strain, and prevent future episodes of pain. All patients are taught an appropriate home exercise program for long term self maintenance.
The goal of therapy is to learn how to take care of onesself, thus reducing dependance on the medical system.
- Other Services Include:
Vestibular rehabilitation for balance problems and neurologic rehabilitation for post-stroke and multiple sclerosis in adults or developmental delays in children.
